Earlier this month, the 2016-2017 TSAE Board of Directors met to kick off the governance year and set strategic direction for the association. Traditionally, board service has been aligned with the New Ideas Conference in September, but beginning this year and moving forward, board service will begin annually in June. On behalf of the Board, I am pleased to share highlights from our meeting.
We heard updates from our Strategic Initiative Leaders at our March Board Meeting and took action on a few items to help move TSAE forward in achieving our strategic goals. Now, we are pleased to share news on our non-dues income, rebranding, and developing leaders initiatives and how they are benefiting you.
After a Board retreat and strategic planning session, some organizations lack a “next step” and sometimes well intentioned plans gets shelved simply because the plan did not indicate who is responsible for taking action. Several years ago, during a governance review, TSAE created a different type of officer leadership structure – one that clearly identifies who leads the strategic initiatives so they don’t fall to the side. I am please to present our 2016 initiatives and their respective Board leaders.
