Strategic Planning

In a rapidly changing world, the time of long-range strategic plans has passed. Your board should be laying out new goals ever 3-4 years to ensure your association remains relevant, mission-driven and focused.

We will work with you to create a strategic plan that clearly defines what your association needs to accomplish and the actions necessary to reach those goals.

Our consultation provides your association with a skilled strategic planning expert to identify goals, provide on-site facilitation and develop a final report. 

Services Include:

  • Consultation with CEO to develop goals and identify background information needed (ex: surveys, data and assessments).
  • Onsite Strategic Planning session facilitation with Board and stakeholders
  • Written report of Strategic Plan for your staff and board

Board Orientation

A well-organized board orientation can ensure effective board and individual performance, smooth the transition of new members onto the board and introduce new members to their responsibilities culture of your association.

It is key for all board members to have knowledge of responsibilities in order to have a productive year; rules and procedures need to be established, goals need to be clearly addressed and duties need to be explained.

This type of training is best received when it is delivered by someone outside of your organization. We have the experience to talk about governance responsibilities as well as nuances pertaining to your Board.

Topics covered include:

  • Governance (role and duties of the Board, conflict of interest, committees and terms, legal and financial responsibilities, etc.)
  • Mission and Strategic Initiatives
  • Board Responsibilities vs. Staff Responsibilities

As an option, these orientations can be held in TSAE's conference room, with a maximum capacity of 15 people.
