ASAE Webinar: Associations at Risk 2025 Federal Tax Reform Implications
The American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) is offering this complimentary webinar to help education associations across the country. Associations and other nonprofits face the biggest legislative threat in more than 50 years.
Sweeping tax breaks established in the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act will expire in 2025. Bipartisan Congressional leaders have stated that – unlike in 2017 – next year’s tax package will be fully funded at an estimated cost of $3-$4 trillion. Influential legislators and policy think tanks have called for taxing ALL tax-exempt organizations across the board, applying the 21-percent corporate tax rate to ALL non-donation net revenue. Membership dues, sponsorships, investment income, and educational program revenue are only a few examples of what is at risk.
We must engage as a community now to help ensure this does not happen. Join ASAE public policy staff and nonprofit tax policy experts in this webinar as we examine the policy landscape, implications of harmful taxes, and how we can act now to advocate for our community.
