How I got into the hospitality field
Funny thing, I started as a temp with the Los Angeles Convention Center entering water cooler and ice bag orders in the food service department, moved onto sales management, crossed lines over into operations management, back to sales… and here we are. Unless you count washing dishes in the family restaurant when I was 10?
What I like about my job
The energy of the people coupled with the experience of a lifetime (yes, corny but my truth!).
My biggest challenge
Taking myself too seriously.
What I am most proud of at my property
The support from my management, long term loyal staff, our location, and my neighbors.
Favorite TSAE Event
I would have to say participating in the focus groups last year speaking to TSAE’s new 2015 event. I would like to believe I had something to do with what we now know as Connect Texas.
What I want to learn from other TSAE members:
From the executives, I would like to be taught how I can bring value to your association other than asking for your business. From the affiliates, I would like to hear a bit about what you like about being in this market.
How TSAE has helped me:
Definitely the educational sessions (there can never be too many). And the people. I have to say the people make the organization and I couldn’t be prouder to represent TSAE through this member spotlight.
